About this project

Thomas Western installed a Water and Sediment Control Basin to help with gully erosion, installed 80 feet of Roof Runoff Management to help with runoff from a building roof, and 1.3 acres of Critical Area Planting to help with runoff and sediment.  He also planted 42.2 acres of cover crops to reduce runoff of water, sediments, and nutrients, as well as to add nutrients back into the soil, as well as implementing a nutrient and pest management plan on those acres. This project was in collaboration with The Watershed Foundation and the Indiana Department of Environmental Management.
