About this project

Layne Evans planted 103 acres of cover crops to reduce runoff of water, sediments, and nutrients, as well as to add nutrients back into the soil, as well as implementing no till production on those acres.  He also installed 2 Water and Sediment Control Basins to address gully erosion, as well as having 500 feet of underground outlet (tile) to help with runoff. This project was in collaboration with The Watershed Foundation and the Indiana Department of Environmental Management.
